What is eFiling?
|
|
The filing of paper pleadings with the
court imposes significant burdens on the court's personnel and facilities. Law
firms and their clients also incur costs associated with the delivery and
processing of these documents. The filing, tracking, and processing of these
paper pleadings is inefficient and creates higher costs throughout the system.
|
|
US CourtForms developed eFiling to expand
the needs of a globally dispersed legal community, decrease processing costs
and reduce the tracking and storage of paper documents. The Sacramento Superior
Court Authority approved electronic filing in November of 2004. The service was
developed and provided in conjunction with the County of Sacramento and the
Limited Civil Unlawful Detainer Division at the Carol Miller Justice Center. |
